ADO/MS Jet 4.0 Locking Mode

ADO/MS Jet 4.0 Locking Mode

Post by Ronald Dod » Thu, 29 Jan 2004 03:46:45

Is there a way to create an ADO connection object to have record level
locking on an an Access database via the MS Jet 4.0 provider driver,
provided no one is already in the DB file? If so, how?

2. MS Jet 4.0 & ADO

I have developed a database application with Borland Delphi 7. This
application makes use of MS Access 2000 files as databases. I connect to
these files using the
ADO components (TADOConnection, TADOQuery, TADOTable etc.) available in
Borland Delphi 7. And this application is compiled on a Windows 2000 machine,
with MDAC 2.7 installed on it.

My question is, along with my own .exe file, what should I also install on
the target
machines in order to guarantee that my application will function properly on
those target machines? (even on different Windows versions)

Thank you all,
