Changing field properties on a single record

Is it possible to change the property of a field (e.g. backcolor) on a single
record within a recordset. For example, I have a form which lists multiple
records and I want to change the background color of a single record when
selected by user (when user clicks the row record selector). If not
possible, does anyone have any ideas on how to make the record standout from
the other records.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
