Eclipse VEP No Longer Works after Eclipse/Eclipse VEP upgrade

After updating Eclipse and Eclipse-VEP, whenever I open a java file in
the visual editor I get the following message:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.eclipse.ve.internal.java.codegen.editorpart.JavaVisualEditorPart

I've also deinstalled the packages and thwn "pkg_add -r"'d them hoping a
roll back would help - as it was working before. No luck.

I've looked this up on the web and couldn't quite find anything that
would resolve my problem.

classes in a different directory than the old one did.
