Look up the src code for enigma -if you can't do with a commandline interface.

#cat plain.txt | enigma -s "<my passwd>" > secret.txt
#cat secret.txt | enigma -s "<my passwd>" > newfile
#diff newfile and plain.txt

should show that the file is identical.
