Error in HTTP module in mulilingual site

Post by RS » Tue, 14 Oct 2003 03:56:03

Hi

We have to implement a multi-lingual site. We're creating
a separate channel for each language,ie, en-us/, br-br/.

We need to set the culture for the site based on the url
or the channel properties. For this we're using a HTTP
module to set the culture properties. I've added the
module in the web.config, but i'm not able to get the
CMSHttp context in that module. I get an error "Object
reference not set to an instance of an object".

Has anyone tried such an approach ? Any pointers.

Regards
RS

Hi RS,

I have not tried this.
But it might depend on the sequence of the modules listed in the web.config.
Ensure that the other CMS modules are loaded before your module.
Does this work?

Cheers,
Stefan.

Yup. It works if I use the PreRequestHandlerExecute stage.
I was using the BeginRequest stage earlier.

Thanks
