Installation question

Post by ab » Sun, 12 Dec 2004 00:33:01

Hi,

I am looking through the requirements of MCMS2002 SP1 (to be installed
on W2k3, IIS ASP.NET only) and found that it needs 'server side
includes' and 'asp' installed on IIS

Because I already hardened the server and IIS and removed all
unnessecary stuff I wonder if I need to reinstall those 'Application
server' components to make MCMS work / install.

Any ideas if these components are really needed ? (server side include
and asp pages will not be used)

Hi,

you need to enable these things as MCMS itself relies on it.
Without this several MCMS components would not work.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Just to add: the components using ASP and server side includes are
SiteManager and the Server Configuration Application (SCA).
