unusual code generation

Post by mick marri » Fri, 22 Oct 2004 05:02:27

I have just been trying to get our site AA compliant.
It failed.
I got a weird error message regarding an incorrect
attribute for the a tag.
The attribute was zref
I know this is incorrect and have searched my project but
cannot find it anywhere.
It is however in the generated html.
Any ideas as to where I can track down this elusive
attrib?

Hi Mick,

Can you post the chunk of offending HTML so we can work out which
placeholder control or server control is generating the attribute?

Regards

i Mick,

a ZREF attribute is used to replace a HREF attribute on internal links when
the link is broken.

It is used to stop things from crawling the code.

Hope this helps.

unusual code generation

Post by Stefan [MS » Fri, 22 Oct 2004 19:26:37

Hi Mick,

zref is automatically generated for all links where the destination posting
is not accessable by the current user.
Means MCMS is responsible for generating these attributes.

What you could do is to create a custom placeholder control that removes all
these attributes in presentation mode.

Cheers,
Stefan.
