CRM 3.0 Outlook client does not connect

Is there any particular magic to getting the Outlook Client to connect to the
CRM Server? Do i need to install the Exchange Email router? I don't think I
do...It simply doesn't connect, the toolbar is greyed out, and a pop up
message stating to contact the administrator. Any help would be much

Hi Alex,
Did you find a solution for this problem? We are experiencing exactly the
same problem.
My company does not use Excange so I do not hope that installing the
Exchange Email router was the solution.

please advice as we are completely blocked.

Hi All,

We had the same issue. It appears that there is a conflict with .Net
Framework 2.0. I uninstalled 2.0 and rolled back to 1.1 and this resolved
the issue.

George, thank you very much for helping with this. I did see a threat
indicating in order to load all contacts, you have to first load the
Company's to which each contact "maps to", and then get the GUID from that
account in the database table and replace that in the import spreadsheet.
Sounds a little involved if you ask me. So by rolling it back, it took a
Outlook export directly?
