Hi,

thank you for your reply. Unfortunatly, it also does not work in the
lightclient version (desktop). Even if the registry entries are correct.
Interestingly enough, everything works when accessing directly using
Internet Explorer...

Hi,

How about setting up a VPN and synching the Outlook client with the CRM
server through that?

Urgent! Problem going online with laptop client outside of the

Hi,

I am having the same problem and was wondering if a work around (other than
first connecting through the VPN connection) was ever found. My scenario is
the following:

There are 2 URLS by which we access CRM:
The internal URL: http://mycrmserver
The external URL: https://crmserver.company.com

If when installing the laptop client I use the INTERNAL URL, CRM can be
accessed through outlook only from within the companie's network.

If when installing the laptop client I use the EXTERNAL URL, CRM can be
accessed through outlook only from within the companie's network.

The goal is for CRM laptop client to work from locations external to the
network without first connecting to the VPN. Is this possible?

Thanks in adavance!
