How to Cast StateCode as Active and Inactive

Post by John » Wed, 09 Apr 2008 20:01:27

Hi,

I would to like to add a Status column in Contact lookup in CRM3.0. I
added statecode in alllookups.xml file but getting output as Contact
name and numeric value 0 or 1.

i would like to cast 0 as Active and 1 as inactive in Contact lookup
column. Is it possible or not to cast as Active or Inactive ?

path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\Server\ApplicationFiles

<object type="2">
<columns>
<column data="fullname" type="normal" />
<column data="statecode" type="normal" />
</columns>

You should not be modifying these files, as it is unsupported by MSFT and it
will probably break when applying hotfixes and upgrading to future versions.

You should add this column using the CRM Customization tools in the UI. Add
columns to the Contacts Lookup View.

Hi MD,

I know this is unsupported by Microsoft. I would like to add the
status Active/Inactive to Advanced Find magnifying glass. i.e For all
Contact look up/magnifying glass pick-lists.

Is there any other approach or process to accomplish this ?

Thanks for your update.

Hi John,
Could you not add the 'status reason' column to the 'Contact Lookup View' in
customisations?
