Possible to avoid login when programatically launching CRM web page??

Possible to avoid login when programatically launching CRM web page??

Hello

We have a desktop application that does CRM lookups using the WebServices
interface and based on the returned entities, may want to open a specific
record's web page. This all works fine EXCEPT that if the user isn't logged
into CRM then the first page we open goes to the login page and only when
they log in do future pages display without the login page.

This may be how it works but given that the user provides their credentials
to our application so we can search CRM record on his behalf, it seems like
there should be some way to have the WebService credentials be used to
eliminate the need for an explicit web page login.

Does anyone know if this is possible or is this just how it has to work?

Thanks!
