Javascript Fetch Data Statements

Javascript Fetch Data Statements

Post by QWRhbSBQaW » Wed, 12 Dec 2007 06:35:02

If I were looking to fetch some data from the database, and didn't want to
direct acccess from CRM because I wanted to use the code externally as well,
how I go about doing this?

I already have a SQL query, "Select name from filteredcampaign" that pulls
what I need.

If i wanted to turn this into a fetch statement, using the web services, and
that returned an XML document that I could parse through, how do I do this
through Javascript.

I want it to happen in one of the form events on a form.

Using Fetch from javascript is a real pain because of the security
requirements of CRM 3.0.
My recommendation would be to have an asp.net page calling the fetch
method and returning the data.
It would than be very easy to retrieve the data from javascript using
httpPost.
