Populate a picklist's values based on another picklist's selection.

Is there a way to change a picklist's values when (for example) another
picklist has a selection made.

Let's say picklist A has the values 1, 2 and 3.

Let's say picklist B has the default values X, Y and Z.

When 1 is selected in picklist A I want picklist B to have the values -
Apple, Bird and Chair
but
if 2 is selected in picklist A want picklist B to have the values - Door,
Echo and Fox

There have been some posts in the past on this topic. Some have provided some
ideas. However, part of the problem is you need to basically maintain the list
of values btoh on the form and in the resulting javascript whcih will result in
a maintenance nightmare if the values change frequently. It also can't be tied
to a table to make this easier.

Matt - Welcome to my Hell :-)

I realize this would be a maintenance nightmare...unfortunately someone up
above usually promises the world out and I have the fun of trying to
accomodate that. :-(

I figured that this would have been posted on before, but unfortunately a
Find turned nothing up. Maybe the topics were too long ago? But at least
your response lets me know that it is possible...I just have to be a little
more dilligent. Thanks!
