Error importing customizations into another (clean) enviroment

Hi,

We are currently developing for one of our customers. When exporting the
Customizations of the customers CRM application and trying to import them in
a completly new enviroment, with no customizations, out of the box installed.
We get the following general error:

"The attribute map is invalid. The selected attributes should be of the same
type. The length of the target attribute should be equal to or greater than
the length of the source attribute and the formats should match. The target
attribute should not be used in another mapping."

Please help!

Are you sure you exported all customizations? I had this happen when I tried
importing some customizations. The customizations I was importing (ISV
Config) referenced a custom entity that I had not exported. I hope this
helps.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for youre response. Yes I've exported all the customizations, to
ensure that no entities or mappings are left behind.

Try importing all the standard entities first, publishing then try all
custom entities, if you have to go one by one to work out the problem
entity.

It sounds like you have changed/added mappings on relationships (such
as the mappings between account and contact) and there are either more
than one to the same attribute or two attributes do not match
datatype/length.
