You could pull in this data via a pre-Callout. Another option would be to
try using the mappings, but this will only work when the new service
activity is created "from" the contract which most likely won't happen most
of the time.

Sorry for this newbie question. I have a new attribute (afterhoursfactor)
that I added to the contract line (contractdetail). Since Service activites
are created and tied to the contractdetail... How can I access my new
attribute, from the service activity form (serviceappointment). What I want
to do is to compute the total duration based on a users entered start and
time, and I want to include this afterhours factor.
