HELP! - Encountered erors while importing web parts

Post by VE9T » Sun, 14 Nov 2004 00:15:01

I tried importing a custom web part into my sharePoint web zone and got the
following errors
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Request for the permission of type
System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=1.0.5000.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 faile
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've tried setting the trust level in the web.config file to WSS_Medium from
WSS_Minimal, but couldn't even load the portal page after that. So I rest it
back to default

Any ideas on fixing this problem?

1. Importing Web Part and displays as ErrorWebPart in "Manage Web Parts" page

2. DDSC.Import Error Importing Web Links Web Part

We have Sharepoint 2001 sp3 and I have noticed an anomally with
importing certain web parts. Particularly, importing the Weblinks web
part, I get an error that states:

A runtime error has occurred.
Line: 0
Error: HTTP Status Code:500
HTTP Status Text: HTTP Error

When I go into debug, I get the following:

DDSC.Import(varDashboardID);window.location.href=window.location.href;

Any thoughts? We do keep up with security patches around here and I
thought maybe one of them might have caused this (it is happening on
more than one SPS server) but this is just a theory.

Thanks!

Chris
