Star Trek Episode 79

Microsoft is becoming like the Star Trek Episode 79 where Wesley creates a
Warp bubble that captures Beverly, his doctor mother, and puts her into a
reality of her own . The Universe begins collapsing and visitors and the
crew begin to disappear along with any record of them. In this case the crew
being such functions as the FIND command in the EDIT menu of IE 7 Beta 2.
What else will disappear from Microsoft software or is this not your reality
as well?

Hmm, no crashes or problems here, but I can imagine that there are lots of
places where it could crash. Hope everything works out for
you...installing/uninstalling large system updates like this can really blow
Windows away.

Oh, and I'm not really sure how crashes and uninstalls relate to MS removing
valuable features...most are still there and are probably just not working
correctly for you.

Oh I have lots of programs and data that were created in the late 70's early
80's that replacements in function just can't be found. for example the
TRS-80 original ROM based OS and Basic interpreter allowed users to enter
variable names via the INPUT statement instead of just constants. It was a
great feature but the next ROM upgrade allowed only constants to be entered.
In fact its been so long since I've used it that I've forgotten just what I
used it for. Go figure.
