outlook express links to IE error message on closing link

Post by b3Blc3Rlc » Tue, 26 Dec 2006 02:12:00

After I installed IE7, everytime I clicked on a link from my OE email, I
would get to the web page okay, but upon exiting I would get an error message
and once I clicked the option to close it another error message came up that
I had to also exit. Everytime this happened no matter what link from email I
clicked on. I uninstalled IE7 as I saw no advantage to it and it confirmed my
rationale for not installing upgrades. Since returning to IE6, I have had no
problems, just wondering if anyone else had this same problem and if there
were ever any fixes for it?

Well, since neither one of you bothered to quote or even paraphrase wht the
error WAS, it's pretty hard to say. I know I've never had one happen there
but I'll bet there are lots of things could go wrong to create several
different error messages.

Hi,
Errors that occur when closing an IE7 window suggest an incompatible browser
add-on or other third-party program.
See:

for troubleshooting information.

Hope this helps,

I was unable to post the exact error mesage as I dumped IE7 and now it is
operating just fine with IE6. I remember it saying runtime error. I
appreciate the feedback, however regarding the incompatability error, I did
not install any add ons. Could it seriously be incompatable with OE?

Required reading IMHO before installing IE7:

not Automatic/Windows Update.]
