IE7 Add-ons without Publisher

IE7 Add-ons without Publisher

If I go to Tools | Internet Options | Programs | Manage Add-ons in IE7 under
Vista Ultimate, I've got three add-ons that have no Publisher: Research,
Send to OneNote, and Discuss. Obviously, Send to OneNote is from my OneNote
installation. But, what are Research and Discuss? Is there some way to
find more information about these add-ons? Since I use IE7 only for
browsing Microsoft sites (mostly, anyway), I'm assuming these are Microsoft
add-ons (the OneNote one definitely is). So, why would Microsoft produce
add-ons that have no Publisher listed?

Also, on a related note, there are 6 add-ons with "(Not verified)" preceding
the Publisher (specifically, Microsoft add-ons). They are:

- Free Threaded XML DOM Document 4.0
- XML Data Source Object 4.0
- XML DOM Document 4.0
- XML HTTP 4.0
- XML Schema Cache 4.0
- XSL Template 4.0

Again, I'm assuming these are valid Microsoft add-ons. But, why is the
Publisher not verified?

David

They could be left overs. make a system restore point so that you can
recover them and then delete them to see if they are in use.
