* To remit Sales Tax I must first capture Sales data on a per transaction basis
* Sales transactions are gathered by Yahoo Merchant Solutions and exported
to an Excel
* Import to Accounting Professional is achieved via File > Utilities > Import
* Source file is Excel 2003. Columns have column titles in row 1, data in
rows 2...n

* STOP! NO TARGET TABLE. I cannot import individual Sales data.
Destination choices are these:
- Accounts
- Customers
- Vendors
- Employees
- Service Items
- Inventory Items
- Non-Inventory items

2. Offsetting sales tax on purchases with sales tax on sales

I have correctly set up GST (sales tax) on invoicing, and it records a sales
tax liability. However, the amount owed to the government, which is a
quarterly reconciliation, takes into account sales tax PAID on purchases.

At present, I have recorded this in an account called Sales Tax Receivable,
but I cannot find a way to offset this with sales tax payable to find out
what I need to pay (or have due) at the end of each quarter?
