Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends disconnects

Post by Edga » Thu, 23 Aug 2007 03:51:01

When I join and start a game together with some of my clan mates, the
mutliplayer game disconnects after a certain amount of time. Sometimes
after 30 seconds, sometimes after a few minutes, but always with the
message "There has been no activity for 20 seconds, what would you
like to do?".

Additionally, 8 out of 10 games disconnect anyway. This phenomenon
seems to have started some weeks ago. before that, there wasn't any
problem playing with/against them or any other people. Joining is no
problem, we can even talk, but then all of a sudden it disconnects.

I've tried almost everything; removing the router, disabling
firewalls, enabling DMZ's, but to no avail. The odd thing is that,
imho, nothing has changed on "my" side of things...

Is there anyone with any clue as to what happens??

Hi Edgar,

Have your ISP check the connection with a continuous
ping from their end to detect any time outs on your end.

Hi Jimmy,Thanks for your reply. My intuition is also that it's an ISP
problem; I'll contact them tomorrow to see what they can do. I was
hoping though that there were other avenues to explore...
