Halo Pc Not Working

Halo Pc Not Working

My Halo for PC used to work while I had the Windows
Millenium OS working on my computer. My Windows Millenium
eventually messed up, I had to change my OS. So I wen't
out and got Windows XP. It was about 3 months before I
had bought Windows XP. I was very e *** d that I could
once again spend endless hours in front of my pc playing
this most enjoyable game. I got my computer working,
loaded Halo PC on here, waited an hour or so to download
the update. After all of this i could play. I could play
for as long as I wanted to. Once I turn off my computer,
and turn it back on it wont work. What happens is that I
see my desktop and see the Halo icon. I double click the
icon and all that happens is the little timepeice comes
up (showing that the computer is "thinking"). That icon
goes away and I sit there for a few minutes thinking
it'll come up eventually. Nothing happens. I double click
it again. Same thing happens. I then ask people at
school. They tell me to download a few new update drivers
from windows.com. Did that, same outcome. I am still
urgently waiting to play Halo whenever I want, and not
having to re-install it whenever I wan't to enjoy it's
greatness.
If anyone knows how to fix this little problem I would be
very greatful and I'd remember it forever. Please Help.
