Sql Server Reporting Services integration with Sharepoint - Problem with manage integration settings

Post by Philip Ray » Fri, 05 Dec 2008 07:15:55

Hi, I'm trying to get Sharepoint integration with te SQL Server reporting
services (SSRS) going. We are using Sharepoint 2007, Sql Server 2005
(sp2), on the same server (Windows 2003 Server).

I have been following the instructions at this address:
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

In IIS I have a site called "SQL Reporting Services" and this is
accessable through http://mossdev1:8044/ . The "Reporting Services
Configuration Manager" has created a virtual directory under this site
called "ReportServer" which appears to contain some web services in it.
There are no other virtual directories under this site.

I also have the main Sharepoint site on port 80, and the "Sharepoint
Central Administration v3" site on port 5555.

When I go to this address http://mossdev1:5555/_admin/applications.aspx, I
have the option to "Manage Integration Stetings" under the "Reporting
services" heading. However when I click this I get the following error:
Unknown Error
Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.

As you can read, this error isn't very descriptive, I've tried googling
and in relation to Reporting services and Sharepoint I can find no one
having the same issue.

Can you advise me why this might be happening and how to resolve it?

1. Licensing SQL Server Reporting Services in SharePoint integration mode?

2. Step SQL Server Integration Services Package Error in SQL Server Agent

I have built a SSIS package which runs fine in BIDS. I went into Sql
Server Management Studio and created a new job and job step. When I
select the SQL Server Integration Services Package, I get the below
error. There are no options on selecting a SSIS package.

I searched this error for about 5 hours yesterday and the only
solution I could find was a user who rebooted their server which fixed
this problem. I did restart the server, which did not fix the
problem.

Can anyone help provide more information on this problem and the
solution to it? Thank you, Jason.
