USB devices are not directly supported in Hyper-V same as in VPC and VS.
Create an ISO image with your file and mount it and then install from
there. What drivers are you trying to install?

What is the OS in the virtual machine? You may need to add a legacy network
adapter in the Hyper-V console.

What device exactly?

What exactly does this mean? Was a network card installed in the guest at
all? Have you installed the Integration Components?

That did the fix for me. My network card now works, after I installed SP2
(had to do it through CD) and Integration Services (Sounds like the
equivalent to Virtual Machine Additions in previous versions). Before this,
the NIC was not being recognized in the hardware list.
