Hello,

Is there a way to tell WSUS client to submit jobs to BITS 2.0 in a way that
it can use predefined Proxy Servers. Either through Policy or registry ?

Have you looked at <Proxycfg.exe> which is built-in to Windows XP?

I only want to have a specific application wuauclt start using the proxy
server not everything else and certainly not the system account. The BITS
Service does understand how to handle proxy servers when submitting a job
and I do not understand why MS does not built this in the GPO/Registry so
that it start submitting them like that as well.

No, Marcel, this is not possible. The WUA uses WinHTTP along with every
other non-IE HTTP-based function. In order to get the WUA to use a proxy,
you need to configure a WinHTTP proxy -- using proxycfg, as noted.
