I'm a total newbie and trying to get all my images to load on the remote site.
They show up on the local site. So now I'm trying to organize my images but it
says can't open jpg files. WHAT? What are the steps in stardardizing the
uploading of pics? Thanks for any help, radiocycle.net

DW doesn't open image files. FW does.

No. JPG is (one of) the correct format(s) for the web. Why are you trying to
open the JPG?

Well tnx for all the coments! It's clear I don't really know what I'm doing
here... Several yrs ago I put up a site that I really dug and did it all with
Frontpage. Recently I decided to try again but with this industry standard DW.
So I took a class at the *** school which was four, three hour classes and
not really enough time to get to know the program well. I'll continue to
fumble around until I get the site working but it's a frustrating process to be
sure. Thanks again for all of your help.

I think your first remediation step would be to forget everything they
taught you in the class. Then study HTML until you can sorta code a page by
hand. Then do some CSS study. Now you're ready for DW.

Not really understanding your problem.

Image files should upload exactly the same as your html files. Not sure
what you mean by 'organising' them either. Your site should look exactly as
you want it locally. Once you are happy with it, you upload "all" the files
at one go.
