I just bought Dreamweaver MX2004 today because I had run out of a 30-day trial. I used it to make a page for e-bay. I had assumed with my recent triumph I could make a web site and sell my stuff online - piece of pie. NOT. This thing did not come with a manual. I can see all the templates - they look so good, but I cannot figure what to do with them! Is there a template for a gallery to show my stuff (jewelry)? I am so in over my head......
Where can I go for help this basic?????

Thank you thank you thank you...

You could start with the tutorials in the Help section.

I think I have an electronic version of the manual if it would help.

Even with the manual it comes with... may I recommend you start at PVII - projectseven.com and use the tutorials there and also
purchase a few good books, even checking the half price book stores.

Eric has a great one on CSS
Patty has a great one
Murray has co-authored(?) one on tutorials

You know, i really hate to foget anyone here who helps so much and has a book out I wish I would point you to a site that tells us
who all here has a book.

Check people's signature lines for resources and books and urls for tutorials.

I don't even have a sig line. But I do have a few books or third party books and can't live without them.

mhering -
you have an electronic version of the manual??? What did you have to do and to whom, to get this? I did a google search (about 3 of them) and was unable to come up with such an animal. I found one in Borders for a mere $70.00 or so plus tax, but am loath to do so as I just paid for the program. I have trawled the help sites and several other tutorial sites, but none seem to go beyond the vanilla tables, add images, backgrounds, etc. I guess I am trying to make a program turn me into a web master - the pieces seem to be there, if I can only figure out how to put them together!!
Thanks,
Cher
