Help me please I am very new to flash but am trying to learn

I flash made a short cartoon film that I would like to publish to a movie. So I
tried FILE>EXPORT>EXPORT MOVIE but all I get is a bar that loads saying the
flash animation is recording. Once the bar reaches the end it just stops and
nothing happens. The bar stays on the screen and thats all. Flash doesnt freeze
up or anything like that it just never moves on. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Zerohourwriter,

By "movie," do you mean a Flash file (a SWF)? Or do you mean a video
file, such as MOV?

Thanks for your help but i figured out what i was doing wrong. And yes it was a
swf file that I wanted exported into mov. But now I have a new problem, go
figure.

When I export the swf to mov the animation randomly distorts when it's
rendered. I tried all the different compression types and options but I get the
same random distorting. Pease help me David Stiller. Or anybody for that matter.

Zerohourwriter,

Sorry for the late reply! It's been a crazy couple weeks.

Ah, good!

Heh. Such is life, all too often.

Is it possible for you to upload a sample of this video, so I can see
the sort of distortion you're talking about? No guarantees it'll afford me
the chance to give you a quick and easy answer, but it's worth a shot.

I don't believe you can export a swf to a mov.
You can export a flv or mov to a swf, but the opposite thing will not
work.
I think you can use Moyea web player pro, it is a flash video player
maker, a quick solution to make a web flv player for your website and
publish videos to web pages.
Here is its official site and tutorial -
