What do all the N's mean?

Hey guys,

I have a mediaPlayback component on a stage with a list component.

When a user clicks an item in the list, the data gets picked up in the
mediaPlayback.setMedia event, but the time display comes up with NN:NN:NN.NN
instead of the streaming time.

My code is thus...(includes a volume listener)

var listHandler:Object= new Object();
var myVolListener:Object = new Object();

myMedia.addEventListener("volume", myVolListener);
myList.addEventListener("change", listHandler);

listHandler.change = function(evt:Object) {
myMedia.setMedia(myList.selectedItem.data, "mp3");
myMedia.volume=$vol;
myMedia.play;
};

//volume event
myVolListener.volume = function(eventObj:Object) {
$vol = myMedia.volume;
};

Not sure, but shouldn't you be using myMedia.play();

I've tried both and both work as there are no positions set.

But changing that doesn't resolve the issue.

I have checked the URL streams, and they are still active.

I really wanted to use Flash, but will be forced to use Javascript soon.

Hmm... don't you need to wait for the selected mp3 to download? Shouldn't you
be using Media.progress?

it is streaming media, so all you should have to do is wait for a couple of
seconds so enough is buffered.

what is really odd is that if I put the address into the URL before I start
and slect autoplay, it works fine

but when I remove it, and add it programmatically it fails

I opted to load the streams via a sound object instead.

I'll get round to learning the mediaPlayback component another day, when I have time.

Thanks for help guys.
