using mkdir and naming directory a mysql value

Post by matt51 » Sun, 16 Apr 2006 08:26:53

I know how to create a new directory using mkdir('/user/jsmith',0777) or die

How can I name the folder a value stored in my mysql db?

So if the user field value is 'mikesmith' in the db i want the mkdir command
to name the folder /user/mikesmith.

Thanks in advance for helping a noob!

Create a new recordset that retrieves the value you want, then drag the
field from the recordset onto the page.

Switch to code view, and cut the inserted code, and then paste it into your
mkdir() command.

Should look something like:

mkdir($rs_recordsetName['fieldname'],0777)
