idHTTP Connection Reset By Peer

We have roughly 100 sites running our Delphi app using the idHTTP control
from Indy v10.

All is working perfectly except for two sites. On the first our application
frequenly "hangs" for two minutes (the read timeout period) then comes back
with "Connection reset by Peer". Occasionally it will connect successfully.

On the second site they are running a proxy server. We read the proxy
settings from IE, set these on the idHTTP control, set Basic Authentication
to true. Upon connection we immediately get the "Connection reset by Peer"
message.

Any thoughts on what this could be or how we can track the cause of this
problem??

Thanks in advance!

You can log the data via Indy logging components like TIdLogFile and
add support in your program for the user to turn logging on and off.
Alternatively (messier, but sometimes better, since it can show other
issues like DNS problems) get the client to use Ethereal. These should
give you much more specific information to track down the issue.
