Getting a TrueColor Icon as application icon (D7)

Is there a way to get a TrueColor Icon as my application icon under D7?

Didn't find anything that panned out under google. Tried a .rc file, but
got complaints of duplicate resource for MAINICON.

Thanks all,

Jerry

Just use it as your application icon (on the Project Options). That
will create the MAINICON as it should. I'm not sure it shows correctly
in the IDE, but when you run the application, the result is as desired.

Take care,
Herre

odd, Herre, that's the first thing I had tried before and it works fine on
*another* higher bit depth icon, just not with my original target. I'll see
what's up with that icon and report back if I find anything that can be
reproduced with another graphic.

LOL, well, we tracked it down to images from one of the graphics vendors
that was supplying a bad format -- we were going from their preview pages on
everything, because it was a nice central place to look at things, but their
preview .ico *obviously* had a different internal format. Sheesh.
