How to set a ADOConnection or ADODataSet Read-Only ??

Post by Toysu » Sun, 18 Jul 2004 14:42:31

Hello,
I can't set a ADOConnection Read-Only.
My test:
1.
ADOConnection.Mode:=cmRead;(use DBNavigator can Add/Edit/Delete)
2.
ADODataSet.Fields[i].ReadOnly:=true;((use DBNavigator can Delete)

Does anyone know other way? Thanks!

1. Referencing data set B in data step A's DO loop

2. Files Opening as Read-Only that have not been set as Read-Only

I have Office 2003 and XP S2. Lately some files, but not all, that I try and
open, open as read-only, even though I have not set them to be. I am the only
user of my computer. The files tend to be ones I've recently used rather than
older ones. The problem does not occur after start up, but after the computer
has been placed in stand-by. Any ideas how to fix this really annoying and
strange problem.
