its not working...

Thanx,

Since you posted it...
1. "not working" is not a description of problem
2. "got it solved" is also useless. Since you posted it, you could at least
add a problem description and solution, so that other people could use it.
The way it is, you just wasted bandwidth and readers' time.

it seems i had gds32.dll in Windows\System32 dir and it was
used instead of one which is in app dir...

once i removed it, it started to work. i.e. application can connect to
database
using IBX TIBDatabase component.

So for embedded FB setup to work with IBX application, one need 3 files:

fmebed.dll renamed to gds32.dll
probably two other files - firebird.conf and firebird.msg
ensure that there is no other gds32.dll or fbclient.dll somewhere in search
path.

HTH.

it.

search

If you use other charactersets than NONE, you need
additional DLLs.

Is there a list where I can look up these DLLs?

They're in the "intl" folder.

If you use UDFs, you need the DLLs in the "udf"
folder as well.
