Question on running a file from the DOS run command window

Post by Jim » Sat, 08 Apr 2006 05:49:34

I normally run Windows XP systems but I'm installing a program on a Windows
98SE system that requires me to run a file called sceptrix.cmd.

On a Windows XP system, I can run this file from the RUN command window by
just typing sceptrix. This doesn't work on a Windows 98 system, what do I
need to do?

TIA

Jim

..cmd is not an executable in Win98. Only XP-infected machines can run it! Get a version of it that is meant for 98, if possible.

If the CMD file does not contain any *** commands, you may be able to
rename a copy sceptrix.bat and run it that way.
