Unrecoverable processor error ??

Post by Clif » Mon, 07 Jun 2004 03:47:13

I'm trying to load NT 4 server as a guest OS. I get "An
unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The
virtual machine will reset now."

My Host OS is Win2K, 2.4GHz cpu, 1 gig ram. I have one NT
4 server loaded and one XP Loaded with no problems. I need
all three for a class.

Has anyone seen this error ??

Yes, set the memory for the VM down to 64MB during the installation.
Once NT is installed, you can increase the RAM to the level you want.

installation.
level you want.

NT
need
error. Sounds like we are doing the same thing. I'm
setting up a PDC, BDC and a client to practice upgrading
to 2003. But I can't get my BDC up. The other two are
running fine.

How did you create this image? Unrecoverable processor errors are displayed
when a physical machine would normally spontaneously reset.
