Does your system meet the minimum requirements listed on the program's
box? Please give some details back, kind of hard helping you without
knowing what you are running FS on...

Jack,
installation of Directx ??
Start - run : dxdiag check version of Directx
and check accelerations in display section
Also in Display properties ( right mouse click on desk)
section settings - advanced - troubleshoot
check if acceleration fully enable

You might wanna check groups.google.com on this one.

I had the same problem something like 2 years ago i guess. I was helped
out by a newsgroup post that directed me to a solution that was somehow
connected with using netmeeting desktop sharing.
I was very surprised that netmeeting was indeed causing this problem.
Every now and then someoen has this annoying problem and posts a message
in a forum or newsgroup. Sometimes my suggestion helps, but sometimes
there is something else causing the problem.
If you check the archive on hardware acelleration and my name i'm sure
you find more specific info. I keep forgetting what the exact remedy is.
