Hi All,
I am working on ISAPI and testing various types of requests methods send by
the browser.
I need to write one HTML page which sends HEAD ,PUT,DELETE ,TRACE request
methods.
I am new to Web side programing ,so , can anyone help me in writing the
sample application which sends the above mentioned request method types.
Thanks in advance.

You are interested in sending different HTTP requests. HTML pages do not
send HTTP requests. HTML pages are one type of response to HTTP requests.

Try WFetch from IIS6 Resource Kit Tools --

ISAPI questions are best sent to:
microsoft.public.platformsdk.internet.server.isapi-dev

How to send HEAD Request to apache/iis server?

Hi,
Thanks for the information .The tool which you have mentioned is for
windows server 2003 or XP, however, I am on Win2k server.
Secondly, Is there any tool for sending requests to apache server
besides WAPT or WAS. They support only 2 methods-GET and POST.
Next time i would post my queries in the isapi-dev newsgroup, after
completing this mail thread.

WFetch should work for you on W2K/XP. If you can't try it, I have no other
suggestions.

Try running: iis60rkt.exe /V/a

Give it a directory to drop all the files. Find WFETCH.EXE in
"{directory}\Program Files\IIS Resources\WFetch"

Hello David,
The command line option worked however, while runing the wfetch.exe, I
am getting an error "Entry Point Not Found".
The procedure entry poing getaddrinfo could not be located in the
dynamic link library WS2_32.dll.
Thanks and Regds

That version of WFetch is IPv6 aware, and W2K doesn't support it without
being patched.

You will likely need to either run WFetch on WXP/WS03, or patch W2K to
support IPv6.

The valid OS for all the tools are included in the documentation for each
tool.
