Post by Q2hha » Thu, 29 Apr 2004 11:11:04

Hi there

I using Windows 2000 Server with SP4 and IIS install on it.
Recently I apply the IIS lockdown tools. After finish install, I found out that the IIS service is not started. I need to manually start it. I confgiure the IIS lockdown tools as dynamic - enble ASP and IDQ (search function)

After few day, the IIS service stop unexpectedly. I need to restart the service again

Any ideas

Thanks

Chai

Anything in the Windows Event Logs?

Do you have the latest MS Security patches installed? (some new ones where
released in April). You can verify what patches you need using MBSA:
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

IISLockDown should not be causing server instability.

Cheers
Ken
