MSIE Maximize Problem - (MS Internet Explorer 5.0)

Post by NoSpam4M » Wed, 11 Feb 2004 21:57:48

Hello all,

I need some help on this one please:

The MSIE 5.0 will not maximize properly anymore. Width is fine, but
there is a free space of about half an inch to the top, although the
window is maximized. It's also moved a little too much to the bottom,
so that about the same amount missing on top is hidden behind the
taskbar. It's also not possible to move the window when maximized,
although there seems to be space to do so.

- How is this situation resolved, and
- (might) what caused it.

Can ActiveX coding 'hijack' my browser? Is there anyway to protect
oneself from this effect?

best regards, Andy

1. Problem maximising Internet Explorer

2. Explorer View requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater and Web Folders.

Hi,

we have a strange situation, maybe some one can help us out.

We're running SPS2003 on Windows 2003 and the portal is running
properly. When accessing a document library and choosing "Explorer
view" in the menu on the left, the explorer view is displayed.
However, this is not the case in a subfolder of the document library:
we get the following error: "Explorer View requires Internet Explorer
5.0 or greater and Web Folders.".

The strange thing is this:

- we can browse through our doc library until we get to this sub
folder. If we then click "explorer view", we get the error (as
mentioned above)

- when we click "explorer view" in one of the parent folders and then
go through the library until we reach this sub folder, it is displayed
in explorer view, without any problems.

Does anybody know how this is possible and what can be done about it?

Thanks,

Allard van Hooff.
