Not receiving all messages

Post by U3RhY3 » Wed, 28 May 2008 21:48:02

I have noticed lately that I am not receiving all of my messages. It is
mostly messages with attachements but not only messages with attachments. It
also picks and chooses. Sometimes I can received pdf files but sometimes I
cannot. Same with word documents. I have not noticed a problem with JPGs.
This also happens if I e-mail myself. Sometimes it comes back to me and
sometimes it doesn't. I have my security set to the lowest level and I have
junk mail set so that I have to delete it. My account is at 2% full. Any
suggestions?

Use the webmail interface to delete or move out all messages in your
Inbox. Then test again using your UNIDENTIFIED e-mail client.

What mail service are you using?

Are you using a mail client (e.g. Outlook Express) to access the mail,
or just the mail service's web access?

If you are using a mail client, it could have settings to stop the
messages. For example, Outlook Express has the option via message rules
to not download or delete from the server, messages over a given message
size.

If you anti-virus is scanning e-mail, it might be deleting the messages.

Or the messages may be larger than your mail service allows.

Hi Stacy,

If you have a Hotmail account, you may want to check your filter settings.
I just posted a blog about that at http://www.yqcomputer.com/
