Synchronization of Design Master

Post by Joe Staple » Wed, 22 Oct 2003 09:49:14

I have an access 2000 database that I have Replicated, I
have made changes to the design master however when I go
to synchronize the design master with the replica (which
I have renamed) the query that I have added does not
synchronize. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Link to knowledge base etc.

Thanks

Joe

Did you set the properties of the newly created query to include Replicable?

I have the same problem with forms. There are no

You don't. As of Access 2000, the entire project is a single blob (yet
another reason to split the database and only replicate the backend tables).

You don't. Because there are no forms in either the Design master or the
Replicas. Or at least, there shouldn't be: it is a certain way to bloat and
corrupt the files (or 'blobs', as they have recently been described).

All forms, macros etc should be in an unreplicated front-end, and linked to
the (replicated) back-end.

You simply issue users with a new front-end as and when you have made design
changes to forms etc.
