Word changes font of every word in document

Word changes font of every word in document

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I select a piece of text to change the font, word changes the font of everything in the document.

This also happens when I press the bullet point button - it puts bullet points on every line of the document rather than just the line I want.

Any suggestions?

Hello Joe,

You have set the style to "automatically update".

Choose Format menu => Style => select the particular style => click "Modify"
button => un-check "Automatically update" => OK. Voila!
