booting the Windows Media Player, it didn't work.

I'm not very good with crash logs but what you sent us seems to indicate
a crash directly on launch (probably loading some settings). This would
be consistent with other reported fairly frequent pref and .plist
corruptions. Simply trash the pref and .plist file from your pref folder
to see if it fixes the problem.

Corentin,

Thanks for the information... I did this and rebooted Windows Media Player,
and got the same results... It crashed and then when I clicked on Terminal
and went to:

cd ~/Library/Preferences/
and did a "ls"

there were new Windows Media Player preferences and plist files / folders
created by the "crashed boot attempt".

Any suggestions?

Many, many thanks!

Of course. When WMP launches and sees that there is no pref and .plist
file in this folder, it creates a brand new (clean) one.
Trashing these files actually has for sole purpose to delete corrupted
version of these files and let WMP re-create a clean new version.

Does the cras log indicate anything ?? Any reference to QuickTime for
instance ?? (some outdated third party QT codecs could make WMP crash).
