Upgraded from WMP 9 to WMP 10 and library is out of order

Upgraded from WMP 9 to WMP 10 and library is out of order

After upgrading from WMP version 9 to 10, all the carefully grouped and
sorted files in my library are now back in alphabetical order. Is there any
way I can preserve the library organization from version 9 to 10? Thanks.

No. It's basically like reformatting and starting again. Any information
held outside media files (ie in the library file) is lost lost lost.

How do I connect to my portable device to synchronize files for my windows
media player?

I assumed your (unspecified) portable player has a manual & cables, and
does indeed support (your unspecified version of) windows media player?
