If you paid for technical support on the
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player , I would be interested in knowing how
that could have happened as this isn't to my knowledge a "support" forum--
I would bet that the player is still running in the Processes tab of Task
Manager. Are you using SP1 on this system?
The player is likely not reopening as it is currently still open. This is
usually because you would have some bad driver that is blowing up (shutting
down) while telling the player to stay open, and thus resulting in a
potential zombie player. SP1 is much much better about handling this.
