I followed your suggestion and it did not work. When the configurator closed
down it said that Media Player was not properly installed.

I tried to upgrade default Windows Media Player of Windows
XP to Windows Media Player 9. After successful download
and installation it asked to reboot the computer. When I
tried to execute Windows Media Player after reboot, It
says "Windows Media Player is not installed properly.
Restart you computer and log on with a user account that
permits you to install programs." even though I'm logged
in with Administrator user.

Has anyone else faced this problem? Please let me know.
