Media Event Sink Error

Media Event Sink Error

Post by Richar » Tue, 02 Sep 2003 15:26:45

It takes more than 5 minutes to open (if it opens at all)
an mpg file with Windows Media Player. After the first one
opens, the rest open quickly. If I hit ctl-alt-delete, I
will usually get a Media Event Sink Window error message.
Has anyone else experienced this ?

It should be trying to resolve some resource - probably which MPEG codec to
use. Do you have MPEG, MPEG2, or DVD software on the box?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ~zachd/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
Following up to your post with the resolution is good netiquette.
