Stupid question: what am I doing wrong?

Stupid question: what am I doing wrong?

I got a whim to try to host my own website this weekend. I've got
residential DSL and Win2k. So...

I've installed Apache 2.0 with PHP (4.3.4 I think) and everything is
going great. No problem with install, or anything else. I am running
DynDNS and DYNsite for Windows to redirect. Here's the stupid
question: When I type in my address, my computer doesn't answer.
Why? I know I need to make some adjustments in the Local Area
Connection to convince my computer to respond. Any thoughts? You may
tell me to RTFM but please direct me to the most appropriate manual,
thanks!

I have the same issue. On my LAN, I can only see the
website if I key the IP address, whereas once I am
actually outside of my LAN (e.g. at work) I can type my
domain name. I am running IIS, but believe the issue is
the same. Hope this helps.

Let me try to help.

Im running a Windows Server 2003 and I cannot navigate the pages hosted in
the server unless I put it in the DNS as Hosts (A). I think it can also
apply to the mms protocol.

Hope this helps you.
