1. Advice on Windows Server limiting available internet bandwith to clients?

2. Q: Limit client's bandwith-usage of router/gateway?

Hello NG!

I have the following problem:

I am administering a LAN, with some Windows clients and an SuSe gateway.
SuSe is routing via iptables.

Now one of the clients is using the internet bandwith heavily. The user
won't regulate himself, so I have to regulate him, as it seems.
But how?

I have got internet access with 1024/512 kb/s. I want to allow the client to
use maximum 50% of this bandwith.
Can anybody tell me how?

Thanx for any hint.
Tom.

p.s. i have samba running as pdc on the linux box.
